November is National Family Caregivers Month— have you paused to honor and celebrate the caregivers in your life? More than 63 million Americans are now providing care for family members with disabilities or serious health conditions, a number that continues to grow.¹ Whether caring for aging parents or supporting disabled children, family caregivers are the glue that holds our communities together!
At WorkLife Law, supporting caregivers is what we do—this month and every month. From our innovative partnerships with community organizations like the LA Caregiver Resource Center and Unbuckled, to our policy advocacy, we’re making sure caregivers can be there for their families and continue to make ends meet. The stakes in this work are higher now than ever; while most caregivers are employed, one in five have left bills unpaid, and a rapidly growing number struggle to afford basic expenses like food.²
