Health care providers hold an essential role under the new Pregnant Worker Fairness Act. WorkLife Law brought together experts from The Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC), the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists (ACOG), and the American College of Nurse-Midwives (ACNM) to create a new training for providers who treat and care for pregnant and postpartum people.
We are especially grateful for the knowledge imparted by EEOC Vice Chair Jocelyn Samuels, who delivered powerful remarks highlighting the health and economic benefits to workers when their healthcare providers are engaged with these issues. This one-hour training is an invaluable resource for obstetrician-gynecologists, certified nurse-midwives and certified midwives, family physicians, counselors, doulas, and other reproductive health providers. Over 450 healthcare providers registered for the live training, which is now available on WorkLife Law’s Pregnant@Work resource hub.
