The Center for WorkLife Law is pleased to welcome Joe St. James as a Caregiver Discrimination Legal Fellow. Joe will work to assist those with caregiver responsibilities facing discrimination in the workplace, as well as conduct policy research on caregiver discrimination nationwide for the Center.

“When I joined WorkLife Law in May 2021, I thought I’d only be here for a three-month summer term. In that time, I saw first-hand how important WorkLife Law’s advocacy and research is and have been so fortunate to stay on for over a year. I’m excited to step into this new role and continue working alongside such a fantastic team to assist caregivers facing discrimination across the country.”

Before joining WorkLife Law, Joe was a clinical attorney with the University of Arizona Workers’ Rights Clinic, where he represented undocumented workers in employment-related claims against their employers.

Joe is a graduate of the University of Manitoba and earned his J.D. from the University of Arizona College of Law.
